Behind it, all is young designer José María García González, who has created a classic, elegant and exclusive fashion brand, with the aim of recovering the way the designers of the early twentieth century worked, much more handcrafted and personalized. To show his new collection, Ze García had some of the most popular influencers and bloggers on the current scene walking the 080 runway to show the collection such as Dulceida, Laura Escanes and Jessica Goicoechea.

080 pay tribute to the figure and legacy of the late Azzedine Alaïa, known as the sculptor of the female form, the Franco-Tunisian designer was for decades one of the indisputable stars of the fashion universe. The tribute will take place tomorrow, February 2, on the closing day of the fashion show with a conversation between the actress Rossy de Palma and the writer and former editor of Vogue, Lisa Lovatt-Smith, personal friends of the late designer. A sample of the creator’s designs will be presented too, in a montage that will also include the choreographer, dancer and filmmaker, Blanca Li.

One of the priorities of 080 Barcelona Fashion is to reward talent in the fashion sector. Reiterating the orientation of previous editions, the 080 prizes maintain their commitment to fostering emerging talent. Therefore, at the 21st edition now beginning, the two awards – the Government of Catalonia 080 Barcelona Fashion National Prize for emerging designers, and the National Prize of the Government of Catalonia for the best collection 080 Barcelona Fashion – are once again joined by the third: the MODACC Prize for fashion exporters.
