In search for away to interconnect a single material with itself, Heikoop discovered thatby gradually hammering metal tubes flat toward the end, they can be inserted inanother tubes void. Creating a new construction language solely using a standardindustrial steel tube.

Christian Heikoop stated: “My design work is driven by exploring the grey area between different design fields; crossing borders by merging graphic, product, interior and fashion skills. Creating an unique product and graphic design language – pushing limits and looking beyond current boundaries. I believe that new aesthetics, shapes, feelings and products can surprisingly derive from innovation, techniques and methods – adding something unpredictable and exciting.”

Highly motivated the designer has a diverse design educational background including the Design Academy Eindhoven. Using skills acquired from his study and work experience, Christian Heikoop explores the nowness and the newness; inspiring, exploring and stretching boarders of industry.
