The development team at Awake is focused on performance, design, and usability. The hydrodynamic properties of the hull ensure complete control and ease-of-use when riding the RÄVIK flat on the stomach, on the knees or standing up. “With the ability to enjoy the RÄVIK in different riding positions, we have created an electric surfboard that is suitable for racers and adrenaline hunters as well as for family and friends without previous experience.” Daniel Aronsson, COO says. Awake was founded in early 2017 by three industry professionals determined to take the segment of electric PWC’s – personal watercraft – to a previously unattainable level. Their scope was fixed on power, design, quality, performance, and overall user experience.Philip Werner, Awake’s CEO, is a well-known profile in the electric watercraft industry and regarded by many to be one of the founders of the industry. “We’ve seen stagnation in development and ingenuity,” Philip explains. “We wanted to show what this cutting-edge industry is really about, and the best way to do that is to push the boundaries.
