The Compasso D’Oro ADI is perhaps the most important recognition in the world of design, since Giò Ponti envisioned it to celebrate projects, products and research. An international jury has awarded this year the proposal of Adriano Design study and Tre Spade, from Torino, which together have thought about a technical yet simple object, going to act on a very specific sector: the vacuum food preservation, planning and carrying out the vacuum valve Takaje Vacuum Seal. It is a red disk, a rubber and carbon valve, able to turn any glass container, new or already used, in a perfectly vacuum container. Besides the obvious features, Takaje, literally “we made it” in Piedmontese dialect, brings with it a whole philosophy on energy saving. Extending from 3 to 5 times the retention times in fact contributes to improving the economic and ecological balance of the family. Takaje also does not require specific containers but adapts to different jars, in an optic of re-use and using raw materials.
