Until May 26th the most active creative cultural area in Bucharest propose to visitors a route of over 60 special events, from exhibitions and talks to parties, a movie night, guided tours, a market design and even workshops. Creative Quarter Design Festival is the first big festival of the quarter around Cişmigiu Park, inspired by UniCredit Bank. The Creative Quarter, a space delimited by the streets of Berzei – Calea Griviţei – Calea Victoriei – Bulevardul Regina Elisabeta, explores the energy and the entrepreneurial and urban development potential of the creative industries.The festival opened on May 18th, at the Universe Palace, an emblematic building of the quarter, with three exhibitions: Made in Bucharest Creative Quarter, Ubikubi Young Designers Award (UYDA) and Mnemonics: Collective Memories Define Our Territory. Mnemonics was named by the foreign press as the “unofficial playground” of the 2018 edition of the Venice Biennial of Architecture and is for the first time accessible in Bucharest, in a reinvented version.The program of the festival, organised during Romanian Design Week 2019, is completed by a series of talks on design and architecture, sustainability in fashion or game design, meetings, guided tours that lets you discover the hidden history of the hood, attic floors or the newest street-art projects, workshops dedicated to the creative industry, collections and products launches, programs developed by members of the community and so much more.The Creative Quarter Design Festival hosted in the interior garden of the National Art University of Bucharest parkour made by the Zerm Architecture Association from Roubaix, France, and decorated by the Romanian illustrator Saddo – Raul Oprea, as part of the Romania-France Season 2019 in collaboration with La Condition Publique. Once the module is installed, a parkour demonstration was organized alongside the Traceurs.RO Association, the first and largest community of parkour practitioners in Romania.
