Eastpack brings together some of the world’s most talented and creative minds to lend their interpretation to the iconic Eastpak Padded Pak’r. Given the task of “customizing” a special-edition blank Eastpak backpack, past participants of the Eastpak Artist Studio have come up with some of the most original and inspiring creations imaginable. This year, that same concept will be taken to all-new heights due to a star-studded cast that includes some of the biggest names in fashion. The proceeds will be donated to the charity organization, Designers Against Aids. DAA was launched in 2004 by the non-profit organization Beauty Without Irony. It’s main objective is to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS and to get the subject back on the agenda in the international media and amongst the public at large. DAA’s campaigns borrow elements from pop culture, targeting primarily young people in industrialized countries where the disease has of late been largely forgotten. The organization also fights for the acceptance and equal rights of seropositive people around the world.  Designers involved in the projects in 2014 are Krjst, Manolo Blahnik, Walter Van Beirendonck (clip), Tim Coppens and Massimo Giorgetti from MSGM.

Take note: The online auction for all creations will be open on artiststudio.eastpak.com in occasion of the World AIDS Day, on December the 1st 2014, and will remain open till December 21st 2014 at midnight.
