The international component is a vital part of the Milan Design Week, placing the city as the annual meeting point between craft and industrial products from around the world. This year took place the second edition of France Design, an event that brought together two major exhibitions, an expression of French creative production, in the spaces of Superstudio Più. The scope in which the exhibits are placed is the current deep mutation, that pushes the national production to export more and more. In this context the Talents & Economy exhibition presented what is the landscape of French design involved in all sectors of our economy. 80 new products, designed by major brands and talents, which are aimed at opening up to new markets, both nationally and internationally. Imprinted instead to new talents, VIA Design 2014 has collected 17 Design prototypes (tables, sofas, armchairs, lamps, console, tablet and furnitures) designed from 13 emerging designers financed by VIA, according to criteria of innovation in terms of materials, experimental techniques, search of new industrial processes or eco-design which had the chance to show at the Design Week their work to publishers who believe in their potential.
