Outdoor spaces provide to design an often thorny path in which grapple.
Varaschin works in these environments since 1969, when launching the
wicker and the rattan, started writing its story within the outdoor
space, defining a stylistic signature brought indoors and in the
contract too. At Salone del Mobile Varaschin presented a collection
featuring fresh and decided tones, like the Pois living system in
lacquered perforated sheet metal, whose cushions are meant to live both
indoors and outdoors. A super line essential for Chapeau, the
outdoor seating in steel covered with a quilted padding that softens its
shape. An indoor look, but brought out of the house for Summer Set,
which reminds  armchairs and stools’s shapes, but realized with steel
net to better survive outside; mix of materials, but in the opposite
direction, in Bands, where the beech structure is upholstered in fabric, leather or pleather. There is space for complements too: Units containers are modules in powder varnished aluminium sections recalling wooden boxes; more contemporary are Cross sliding tables, with the typical texture of industrial steel.
