I have to confess I could not hide a certain excitement, while walking towards via Solferino in Brera. A friend had just texted me: “come here, it’s amazing!”. And it has to be said, Missoni is always making beautiful things, from prêt-à-porter to home collections. My expectations were then completely fulfilled: I found the brand’s showroom transformed into a stunning visual fantasia. This surreal, magical setting has the name of “Wonderland” and it was created by AAAHHHAAA architects; it melts together in a fairy, psychedelic mix products from Missoni Home and Missoni by Richard Ginori: suspended tables and tableware, colourful curtains, rugs and beanbags in vivid shades, disco-balls, geometrical patterns and charming flowers. The zig-zag pattern, a classic of the maison, was recreated with several different kinds of pottery, resulting in a tridimensional composition without equals. The showroom was inaugurated last night with a cocktail party, featuring the Missoni family, Anna Dello Russo, Inge Feltrinelli, Marta Ferri, Harumi Klossowska and Yvonne Sciò.
