The first international edition of Homi just ended in Moscow, simultaneously with Saloni Worldwide and Moscow Design Week. The concept Homi brought to Russia proved to be a winning trade, valuing the culture of Made in Italy design that brought more than 8000 professional visitors, interested in the best of Italian production. As confirmed by Michele Perini, Chairman of Fiera Milano, the internationalization strategy turned out to be successful: food, tourism and design are Italian excellence promoted with dynamic and versatile exhibition events, “able to attract increasing numbers of operators and the most qualified and interested buyers to the products of our country”. This meant that the 120 companies that have exhibited their products in Russia have already manifested interest for the next edition of the fair. A successful debut thanks to consolidate synergies with Federlegno Arredo, SMI (Sistema Moda Italy), ITA (Italian Trade Agency), which helped to create important opportunities for Italian home decor companies. Fundamental support to the organization of the event was the partnership with ITE, which in Russia represents a considerable business force. Not least were the institutions, including Regione Sicilia, engaged in the forefront trusting in the potential of Homi Russia, as well as numerous professionals who participated in the event by providing their know-how through workshops and conferences.
