Presented at the 92nd edition of Pitti Uomo, the new BEYOND NATIVE Capsule Collection by MINI. This limited-run collection highlights the contrasts that can exist between our homeland on the one hand and the places our wanderlust takes us to on the other – the “here” and the “there”.

In collaboration with MINI, five up-and-coming international designers translated the ambivalence between their cultural origins and where their life is currently based into individual products for the proverbial “urban traveller” roaming between different cultures and ways of life.

The products in the new MINI FASHION collection combine traditional, cultural cues from the respective designer’s home country with contemporary elements from where they are currently living. BEYOND NATIVE therefore symbolises the mutual enrichment of cultures and creative energy that results from the decision to cross borders.

In keeping with the “Creative Solutions for a Brighter Urban Life” theme, BEYOND NATIVE is the third limited-run Capsule Collection presented by MINI. It makes a clear fashion statement that epitomises MINI’s open mindset and optimistic view of the future. The collection’s five items will be available in limited numbers for online purchase this autumn.
