Rinascente once again confirms its confidence in the creative potential of the under 35s and this year renews, for the fifth consecutive year, its partnership with SaloneSatellite to highlight the designs of 9 young talents, who stood out at SaloneSatellite 2017.

This is a year of major milestones for the two institutions involved. Rinascente is celebrating 100 years of its name, coined by the poet Gabriele D’Annunzio, and is opening its second flagship store in Rome, at the heart of the old town. Meanwhile, Salone Satellite is celebrating 20 years of activity, two decades in which it has excelled itself a major hub of creativity and design.

Curated by Marva Griffin, this year’s Salone Satellite has the theme “Design is…”. It is an invitation to focus on design, research, study, technique and on all those elements that are at the very heart of the design profession. The objects displayed perfectly embody this speculative spirit, exploring the potential expressed by the materials and different techniques of working. There is a continuous dialogue between creativity and innovation, constantly pushing t he boundaries of design.

These 9 designers have the opportunity of exhibiting and selling their creations from 3 October at the Design Supermarket in Milan’s Piazza Duomo. One of the city’s most prominent showcases, this is a top class location where the most prestigious brands and the great classics of the sector take centre stage alongside absolute innovations and the most promising trends of t he moment.
