The summer is winding down, but for the urban commuter spring is an endless state of mind. As well as young designers of the Parisian study Swabdesign: well known for creating modern and stylized lighting systems, and contemporary furniture, they are now engaged in the creation of a definitely unique fixed bike. Super Green is a way of moving that knows no rain or grey weather, living always in an idyllic spring weather, at least in style. Green meadows and bike come together: the frame is a green lawn, even mowed by a figurine with a mower. It is obviously not made of real grass, but with an original green velvet-like finish, in imitation of a synthetic lawn. Everything in Super Green is a reference to a contemporary culture, green that is, which surrenders for a moment to a kind of retro nostalgia, but only in favour of exclusive finishes, like the Brooks Cambium cotton and rubber saddle, or the wooden rims, handlebars and pedals, in a look where the vintage meets the new. Sun and green fields, therefore, not crossed by the classic Holland, but went through with a super contemporary fixed gear which brings them in the most modern urban context. The country touch? The bucket: a wooden fruit holder.
