New forms of crafts and design in Puglia. <\/em>It is organized by the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/iicbarcellona.esteri.it\/iic_barcellona\/it\/\">Italian Institute of Culture of Barcelona<\/a><\/strong> in collaboration with Pugliapromozione in the framework of <em>Italia Repubblica Creativa, a <\/em>program of cultural activities organized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/consbarcellona.esteri.it\/consolato_barcellona\/it\/\"><strong>General Consulate of Italy in Barcelona<\/strong><\/a>.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12211 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thesignspeaking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Screenshot-2019-06-22-15.01.37.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"878\" height=\"846\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thesignspeaking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Screenshot-2019-06-22-15.01.37.png 878w, https:\/\/www.thesignspeaking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Screenshot-2019-06-22-15.01.37-300x289.png 300w, https:\/\/www.thesignspeaking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Screenshot-2019-06-22-15.01.37-768x740.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 878px) 100vw, 878px\" \/>The installation, curated by Miriam Giordano\/Labo\u0301h in collaboration with Giusy Ottonelli\/Puglia Design Store synthesizes a dialogue between memory and traditional techniques of contemporary design. A dialectic whose protagonists are artistic objects and industrial serial production, the recovery of artisan processes, irony, and provocation, as well as the reinvention of traditional methodologies and forms. In an era of excesses and waste, my goal is to create objects that have fallen into disuse since birth, unusable but impossible to leave behind. They are the protest against the unbridled consumerism of contemporary society, where what is now considered necessary is destined to become superfluous tomorrow. He will only create ten, and the one presented in the garden of the Institute is the fourth.
