The sharing of design, the problem solving, the interpretation of the behaviors. The DISCIPLINE’s brand philosophy is based on the positive thinking which looks for the simplicity of daily gestures, real values, feelings, without forgetting the pleasure of today’s luxuries but with a smile, energy and emotional experiences. A philosophy which is well expressed by the new web-site discipline.eu. The mission of the company, whose production is entirely made in Italy, is to bring discipline into conscious, long lasting and nice projects, in order to rediscover the common sense. The identity of the brand is symbolized by the main use of natural materials, as they are an emblem of wellness.

The DISCIPLINE furniture, seating, lamps and accessories, designed by an international team of renowned designers, are efficient, resistant, recyclable and biodegradable. They require low environmental impact manufacturing processes and are a guarantee of long-lasting functional and aesthetic features.

The DISCIPLINE values are conveyed through an essential and authentic design, in line with Italian quality and style, capable of generating a sense of familiarity, yet of surprise. The collection revolves around the idea of flexibility, versatility and adaptability, carefully considering the domestic environment as well as the working and public spaces, with the aim of sharing a sense of belonging with all who choose DISCIPLINE products.

The designers. An international team to express something unique in each language.

Fourteen designers from 8 different countries make up a team that under the art direction of Gianluigi Landoni draws a real emotional geography of different points of view. Their research, led by the vision of Discipline design in terms of material and style, seeks to highlight these cross-links. Discipline together with them wants to express something unique in each language and also able to bring original insights to our everyday life. The products are designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune (Sweden), Pauline Deltour (France), Ding3000/Rsw  (Germany), Discipline Lab (Italy), Ichiro Iwasaki (Japan), James Irvine (UK), Lars Beller Fjetland (Norway), Lievore Altherr Molina (Spain), Nendo (Japan), Sibylle Stoeckli (Switzerland), Smith Matthias (UK), Studio Klass (Italy), Studio Irvine (Italy), Studio Saudubray e Soler (France).

The materials. A choice to help to change the fate of our planet.

Discipline works with the wood, the cork, the metal, the glass, the fabric, the leather. The company chooses only woods coming from sustainable management forests, like the tenacious ad adaptable ash, which has always been an ally of man in the production of artefacts. It grows rapidly and abounds in our woods. Or the oak which is very elastic and has the privilege of reminding of the sea, of wine and of precious and durable things. Among DISCIPLINE favorite materials also the cork, useful for its virtues: squeezable, elastic, floating, waterproof, light, tactile and resistant. It’s a vegetable, biodegradable and recyclable material. It’s generous but need to wait the right time to extract it from the plant. For Discipline the adoption of the metal, characterized by hardness and strength, marks an outstanding passage in the history of Man’s evolution. The actions performed to work it, mould it and forge it are metaphors of formation and vehicles of creativity. Essential companion in everyday life,  the transparent, mirrored or lacquered glass looks like the work of a spell and it’s able to cast it. Both as an humble or a precious object, whether useful or superfluous, it allows seeing inside and beyond things. For Discipline the fabric is scenery, context, composition. Only natural fibres: cotton, wool, linen. Fabrics as touch, protection, choice.. they convey fascinating stories related to their origin and manufacture. Innovation does the rest. Expression of primitiveness and innovation, leather implies competence and care for traditions, passed on from one generation to the next. It has its own scent and tactile qualities. It requires care yet it loves to be used and worn out. It ages and improves.
