SCULPTED MIRROR by Snarkitecture is the new mirror with an irrational and irregular shape produced by Gufram

Since 1966, Gufram has been questioning what furniture really is, responding with surprising designs that capture our imagination and stimulate our senses. Driven by a non-conformist spirit, these are pieces that subvert conventional notions of furniture, challenging stereotypes.

SCULPTED MIRROR does exactly that, too. Designed by Snarkitecture – the unmistakable duo of Daniel Arsham and Alex Mustonen – it takes on an irrational, irregular form that can contain multitudes: a lake seen from above, a snow-covered crater, a soft crack in the rock, or the flickering silhouette of a flame.

Like an evolution of BROKEN MIRROR, Gufram and Snarkitecture continue to work on reflective surfaces, finding cutting-edge, creative and productive methods. SCULPTED MIRROR is the result of intense research towards a more serial and more accessible production.

The shape of the SCULPTED MIRROR is designed to create a dialogue with any space. Everything is interconnected, everything flows and changes shape: not only in a natural environment, but also at home. The gesture of looking in the mirror is part of a routine, which, like the cycle of water or the seasons, is repeated in different ways.

Thanks to the shaping of soft polyurethane and the finish in brilliant Guflac®, the frame is not only physical and material, but also narrative – a source of suggestions. Once again, the craftsmanship of Gufram gives life to real visual poetry.
