In its 2025 Barcelona edition, Interihotel -Europe’s leading event shaping the future of hospitality- has welcomed 290 exhibitors and more than 11,600 professionals: ‘The Power of Encounters’ From materials to inspiration. From strategic relationships to visionary thinking. Interhotel brought together hospitality design professionals for three days in Barcelona. With more than 11,600 professionals visiting BCN25 ‘The Power of Encounters’ edition, from over 50 countries, Ambit has created the best learning and business space in the industry for fourteen years. Exhibiting brands, innovative spaces, trends, and the people who define the impact of design in the world met on October 21st, 22nd, and 23rd at the event held at Fira Gran Via Barcelona. ihBCN25 x Brava Studio Interihotel has inaugurated its BCN25 edition at Fira Barcelona Gran Via. Hall 4 of the venue has become the setting where, over the 3-day event, developers, hotel and restaurant managers, architects, interior designers, and contract-hospitality professionals come together. Matter @ Interihotel x Brava Studio For the first year, Ambit launched Interi-Off, a parallel program outside the main venue that included installations, pop-up projects and curated interventions by designers and brands across various locations in the city of Barcelona. ihBCN25 x Brava Studio – Cordonnée The Awards A jury comprising 11 leading organisations from the fields of design, architecture, interior design, and hospitality was responsible for selecting this edition’s winners. TM Leader Contract, Birdmind, Bariperfil, Pablo Roig, and Clàudia Raurell & Sandra Tarruella are the winners of the Interihotel BCN25 Awards. INTERIHOTEL BCN25 AWARD FOR BEST STAND DESIGN AT INTERIHOTEL The jury awarded the prize to the stand by TM Leader Contract (stand K24), designed by María Ortega. A stand that captures visitors’ attention and sparks curiosity through a simple yet effective exercise in chromatic and lighting contrast. The jury was impressed because the space cannot be fully grasped at first glance; instead, it invites visitors to step inside and discover what lies within. Once inside, the display, organised in niches along both sides of the central aisle, showcases the product range in an almost museum-like manner, creating an elegant and immersive experience. The prize was presented by jury members Agnès Blanch (ARQUIN-FAD), Pedro Coelho (LCI Barcelona) and Pere Ramon (Barcelona Hotel Association).The jury also highlighted the proposals by Buit Valencia (stand E10, designed by Bardo Studio) and Fama Solutions (designed by Einteriorismo and Arqdeco Creative Projects). INTERIHOTEL BCN25 AWARD FOR THE BEST SUSTAINABLE PRODUCT FOR HOTEL AND RESTAURANT DESIGN The jury awarded the prize to the RiceTab product by Birdmind. A solution that exemplifies the sector’s commitment to responsible innovation and the circular economy. It replaces traditional materials such as wood or plastic, preventing deforestation and the use of toxic compounds. Its manufacturing process is 100% circular, powered by renewable energy and with zero water footprint. A proposal that combines design, sustainability and innovation, advancing towards a more regenerative and planet-friendly construction model. The prize was presented by jury members Cristina Mora (COAC), Marc Huertos Paniagua (CODIC) and María Deus (Domus Selecta).The jury also recognised the proposals by Tarkett (Lino Materiale) and Unnom (Artdeco). RiceTab by Birdmind INTERIHOTEL BCN25 AWARD FOR THE MOST INNOVATIVE PRODUCT FOR HOTEL AND RESTAURANT DESIGN The jury awarded the prize to the Acoustic Wall product by Bariperfil. An innovative acoustic solution, ideal for spaces where guest coexistence must be harmonised. It adapts easily to different environments and styles, maintaining a refined aesthetic thanks to custom digital printing. This proposal integrates design and functionality without compromising acoustic comfort, particularly benefiting hotels and restaurants by prioritising sound well-being in visually appealing spaces. The prize was presented by jury members Daniel García (Barcelona Restaurant Guild), Helena Puig (ELISAVA) and Jordi Moya (APDI).The jury also highlighted the proposals by Birdmind (RiceTab) and Clever (TopFix). INTERIHOTEL BCN25 AWARD FOR BEST RESTAURANT DESIGN The jury awarded the prize to the restaurant Superchulo Canalejas, designed by Pablo Roig. The designer skillfully uses colour and volumes in an interior that flows with the rhythm of curves and undulations in both the furniture and structure. Natural materials—wood, heavily grained trees and linen—contribute to a sense of comfort and authenticity. The design is perfectly aligned with the restaurant’s gastronomic concept, offering a holistic 360º experience, from lighting and décor to materials, colours and artwork. The award was presented by Mr Marc Barreno, President of Àmbit Cluster.The jury also highlighted the proposals by El Equipo Creativo (Selva Restaurant) and Sandra Tarruella Interioristas (La Gaia). rRestaurant Superchulo Canalejas INTERIHOTEL BCN25 AWARD FOR BEST HOTEL DESIGN The jury awarded the prize to the Riad Brummell Medina Hotel, by Architecture Office Clàudia Raurell. The winning hotel represents tradition brought up to date. It embodies 19th-century traditional architecture, located in the heart of Marrakech’s medina, and is a luxurious yet homely establishment. The designer carried out a respectful renovation, using local materials and preserving original elements such as arches. To respect the existing structure, modernity and comfort were added, allowing guests to enjoy an authentic experience. A sanctuary in the midst of the city’s bustle. The prize was presented by Ms Cristina Lagé, Director General of Tourism of the Government of Catalonia.The jury also highlighted the proposals by El Equipo Creativo (Kimpton Los Monteros) and ILV* (Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel). Riad Brummell Medina Hotel INTERIHOTEL BCN25 LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD IN HOTEL AND RESTAURANT DESIGN The jury awarded the prize to Sandra Tarruella of Sandra Tarruella Interioristas. Warmth and elegance, but also perseverance and naturalness. All her projects breathe comfort and are unique. A designer and interior architect inspired by the local, the Mediterranean, by warmth and colour, turning everything she touches into contemporary design. Since her beginnings at her mother’s restaurant—the origin of the Tragaluz group—she has worked for the Roca brothers and Carles Alenyà, and her studio has received multiple awards. The award was presented by Sergi Latorre, Project Manager, Spain & Portugal at Grupo Roca.
