The first edition, in Barcelona from 16 to 28 October, of the showroom and events circuit is an innovative initiative that combines design, sustainability, and reflection.

TERRASZA, the innovative phygital platform dedicated to Exterior Design, presents its calendar of meetings and its circuit of events at its first edition TERRASZA BCN 2023.

This unique opportunity offers outdoor design enthusiasts the chance to explore spaces and events related to this discipline.

In this first edition, TERRASZA has secured the collaboration of prestigious brands that will enrich the visitors’ experience: Artemide presents its ‘O’ outdoor lamps, Come together, the iconic Tolomeo Maxi by Michele De Lucchi and the portable lamp Gople by BIG studio in the courtyard of the Mercer hotel and will have a dedicated showcase in La Casa de las Lámparas; Gandía Blasco Group opens the doors of its flagship store dedicated to the outdoor world where the protagonists are the Lademadera collection designed by Francesco Meda and David Quincoces and the contemporary craftsmanship of Kengo Kuma; Nanimarquina, in its showroom, presents four collaborations: the Haze collection conceived by Begüm Cana Özgür, Doblecara by Ronan Bouroullec, Oblique by Matthew Hilton and Improvisación by Gian Padilla Suarez.

The circuit is also enriched by a programme of highlights:

– On Tuesday 17 October, 7 pm at La Terraza 20: Rewilding Cities. Regenerating Urban Ecosystems. An opportunity to dialogue with Sergio Carratalà (Mata Alta) and Fèlix Riera, exploring the themes of ecology and urban design. (SOLD OUT)

– On Thursday 19 at 7 pm, Cubiñá presents the Danish brand Houe

– On Friday 20 October from 5 pm to 10 pm, KSAR Living inaugurates its showroom in Cornellà de Llobregat (Bcn) with the event “Drinks&Music”.

-On Friday, 20 October from 5 pm to 10 pm, architect, designer and artist Guillermo Santomà opens the doors of his studio in Cornellà de Llobregat (Bcn).

– On Saturday 21 October at 12 am, at the headquarters of the European nomadic biennial Manifesta 15 Barcelona (Gustavo Gili publishing house): Barcelona, a complex ecology. This session explores ecological issues with Josep Bohigas, director of the Barcelona Regional Strategic Planning Agency, and Juan Cabello Arribas, scientific director of TERRASZA.

– On Monday 23 at 7 pm, Cubiñá presents the Italian brand Potocco.

– On Tuesday 24 October at 7:30 pm, iSiMAR presents the new Martini collection at the Lagranja studio.

– Wednesday 25 October at 6 pm, Design, materials and technology for avant-garde exteriors: Point and Agora present the new Origin collection at COAC with designer Mario Ruiz.

– Saturday 28 October at 5 pm, Artefacts, grafts and biomatical interventions: presented by Tatiana Kourochkina, curator and cultural manager specialising in art and science, co-founder and executive director of Quo Artis, SingularGreen and Juan Cabello Arribas, this activity dives into the intersection of art and ecology.

TERRASZA seeks to generate synergies and exchanges that foster dialogue and reflection on issues such as ecology, lifestyle and creative challenges, from a transdisciplinary perspective.

The TERRASZA BCN 2023 circuit will take place from 16 to 28 October 2023 as part of the BDW OFF programme of events at Barcelona Design Week.
