A look at the car design, whene some of them were built manually by craftsmen and on the basis of costumers’ expressed desires. Florence Hometown of Fashion, with Pitti Immagine, wanted to show in two of the most central squares of Florence, Piazza della Signoria and Piazza Ognissanti, the history of Italian automotive design from the Fifties and the Sixties, bringing out the Lopresto Collection, dedicated to Italian cars built in a single specimen or in extremely limited edition. Sixteen masterpieces, with their sinuous and luxurious lines, parade on a carpet of grass, in a setting of great scenic impact, opening the eyes on unique projects exclusively by Italian coachbuilders and unveiling the works of designers mostly unknown, but foundational part of the Italian design excellence. A glimpse on the highest level  production that reminds us how much Italy is able to achieve in the field of design and technology, standing as a look at the history, yes, but above all as an important source of inspiration for the aesthetics and the contemporary project.
