From the passion for her homeland, Barbagia in Sardinia, Giovanna Palimodde, entrepreneur, art collector and artist, created in 2008 Le Botteghe Su Gologone, a brand of home accessories. The project celebrates the knowledge of origins through contemporary creativity. The collections of Le Botteghe Su Gologone are a tribute to the artisan tradition consolidated over time and deeply rooted in the territory. Hence the idea of permanently hosting six artisan workshops dedicated to weaving, embroidery, ceramics, painting, wood and iron working within the Experience Hotel Su Gologone on the slopes of Supramonte. The hands of the embroiderers, painters and craftsmen design and weave the thread that unites the island with its ancient history which comes alive with collections of cushions, tapestries and accessories for the table with strong expressive power. The material is modelled in the decorations and colours: the porcelain plates are defined by bold brushstrokes in shades of red and shades of grey and blue; the painted lines of the cushions, the tapestries and the table accessories are adorned with the traditional Bosa fillet and the mucadore shawls, developed on fabric with silk threads, are enlivened by a wide palette of colours.
