On 16 May 2022, almost 1,500 guests from 36 countries celebrated the best iF designs of the year at a glittering awards ceremony in the legendary Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin At one of the most important international design events of the year, the “Who is Who of Design” met: almost 1,500 guests from 36 countries were drawn to the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin on 16 May 2022 to celebrate the winners of the iF DESIGN AWARD 2022. The 73 most outstanding products and projects received special recognition with the highest iF award, the iF DESIGN AWARD 2022 Gold. Since 1954, the iF DESIGN AWARD has been recognised as an arbiter of quality for excellent design. The iF Design brand is renowned worldwide for outstanding design services, and the iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the most important design prizes in the world. It honours design achievements in all disciplines: product, packaging, communication and service design, architecture and interior architecture as well as professional concept, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI). On the world’s largest theatre stage (2.854 square meters!), the international award winners received the coveted iF Gold sculpture from iF CEO Uwe Cremering and TV presenter Katrin Müller-Hohenstein. It was the biggest iF DESIGN AWARD ever: nearly 11,000 submissions from 57 nations were evaluated by an international 132-member independent jury of experts.
