Pedrali, a company with a 50 years’ experience, joined Milan Design Week for the 26th time, with functional and contemporary furniture designed for public spaces, office and home. The 2014 collection, made of five new lines and brand new products, melts together wood and padding with plastics, constantly aiming at technological innovation. Series of chairs, stuffed armchairs, footstools and a new collection for kids. The projects are due to the renewed collaboration with several designers: Odo Fioravanti, Patrick Jouin, Marc Sadler, Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci, Alessandro Busana, Pio and Tito Toso, Michele Cazzaniga, Simone Mandelli and Antonio Pagliarulo, Manuela Busetti, Andrea Garuti, Matteo Redaelli. The stand’s project, developed by Migliore+Servetto Architects, is light and dynamic: ten groups of Flying Boxes open up like matrioshkas, unveiling the collection’s new products. Tivoli goes back to traditional wooden chairs, keeping comfort and conviviality: the essential frame perfectly mixes with structural elements, the back’s tridimensional curve suggests a welcome. Open-storage or shelf, coffee-table or nightstand: Panthesis is a versatile piece of furniture, able to match different contexts. Flag is a hall stand made by the synthesis of form and function: its polypropylenic arms are perfectly jointed to the structural steel tube and complete it flawlessly.
