In the age of graphic design, in which illustration is increasingly carried out by technological media, Giuseppe Di Carlo is a young designer and illustrator who expresses his ideas with a marker pen in his hand. Referring to draw as an innate, natural act, an extension of his own mind, he composes extremely contemporary forms, far from being a traditional drawing, placing in boxy spaces soft or angular figures, coloured or black, organic or inorganic. Creating in an apparently confused space a balanced order of elements Di Carlo talks about the fake mess of creativity, with words, figures and stylistic evolution from the modernity of thought of our days, as thoughts, fears, ideals but also concrete facts. A graphic interpretation of metropolitan life, which the designer gives back with the technique of felt-tip pen, or marker, because the error is and should be part of the work and its concept, making it unique and denouncing the author. Clear marks on paper, material of choice because fragile but convertible through the sign, gestures and stains, absorbing the drawing and saving it forever.
