For street artists the best blank canvas is a whole empty wall. Nothing to do with who smeared the city: here there are contents, those of the battle that Gherardo Colombo is conducting for several years on the importance of law through its association Sulle Regole. With the help of the Fondazione Pasquinelli, that deals with art and music, and the Accademia di Brera, always attentive to new art forms, was born the project Writers on Writing, which put in the hands of three street artists – KayOne, Korvo aka Korvuz Korax and Stefano Phen – 20 metres of wall that bounds the Tennis Club Milano Alberto Bonacossa. The wall becomes the terrain of their free artistic interpretation, with texts that put attention to the rules combined with drawings of different styles, a space of dialogue that plays on the contrast between the transgressive works and following the rules. Taking sport as a starting point, the warnings of artists call into question Eugenio Montale, which exhorts to a positive approach to sport, the Italian Constitution and the negative issues related to competition, such as doping and cheating.
